Nicky Holgate-Smith

I  am a  swimming instructor, Lifeguard and Lifeguard trainer and First Aid trainer.

I started as a rookie in my local Lifeguard Club when I was 14 years old completing both personal survival awards and lifesaving 1,2, and 3 awards and worked my way up to  Junior Captain of the Club which gave me the opportunity to take training sessions for members of the club.

I then went on took take my Pool bronze medallion award of merit, to then completing my National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and have never looked back.

As a Leisure Student I spent many summers working part time  as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor  in Summer Schools in various locations in the UK.

Once graduating college I entered fulltime employment in the Leisure Industry and have worked in  a wide-range of Leisure facilities, swimming Clubs and large well known 5 star hotel chains in London and Brighton, and locally here in Jersey ever since.

In 2006 I became a RLSS Lifeguard Trainer Assessor and in April 2017 I qualified as RLSS First Aid Trainer Assessor.
