Our Paediatric First Aid at Work course is registered and approved by CEYS (Childcare and Early Years Service, Government of Jersey). 

Please note that we do not offer the 6 hour Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work course as for any Jersey training provider it is NOT recognised and approved by CEYS.

The Paediatric First Aid course duration is 12 hours and the course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, including practical assessment on CPR and first aid. The course can be delivered over two days. The award is valid for three years as of the date of assessment.

In order to re-qualify, Candidates need to produce a valid and in date qualification in order to be classed as a renewing candidate, otherwise you will be classed as a new candidate.

If you are renewing with us following a previous Enjoy2train Paediatric Fist Aid At Work course, a 10 percent discount will be applied.


A range of subjects are covered including:

  • Understanding the role of the paediatric first aider
  • How to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is suffering from shock
  • How to assess an emergency situation and act safely and effectively
  • How to provide first aid for an infant and a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction
  • How to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is wounded and bleeding
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child with a suspected fracture and a dislocation
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child with a chronic medical condition or sudden illness
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child with burns or scalds
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who has been bitten or stung
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child with a head, a neck and a back injury
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is experiencing the effects of extreme heat and cold
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who has been poisoned
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child with conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose
  • How to provide first aid to an infant and a child who has sustained an electric shock

It is possible to combine the Emergency Response Pool Programme with the Emergency First Aid at Work and attain two qualifications at the same time.

Level 2 Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis Management Qualification + 2 hours

(Separate Certificate issued)

This covers:- 

  • What is anaphylaxis

  • Triggers

  • Sign and Symptoms

  • Airways, Breathing, Circulation problems

  • Treatment

  • Safe use of an auto injector

  • Preparing medication

  • Using EpiPen, Jext and Emerade

  • Hand over Needles and sharps
